The tight weave directs the majority of light downward through the open cone base, creating a focused warm pool below the lamp. At the same time, small amounts of warm amber light escape laterally through the gaps in the weave, casting a soft dappled pattern on nearby walls. Is it stable on carpet or uneven flooring?

The three-legged tripod base distributes the lamps weight across three points and provides good stability on flat surfaces. On thick pile carpet, the tripod legs may sink slightly into the fibres, which can affect stability on very high-pile or shaggy carpet. Place the lamp on a flat, firm surface for best stability. The 176cm height and 80cm shade also mean the lamp has a meaningful centre of gravity position it away from high-traffic areas where it could be knocked.

How do I clean the rattan shade?

Dust the rattan shade with a soft dry brush or use low-pressure compressed air to dislodge dust from the weave gaps. Do not use wet cloths, water, or cleaning solutions on the rattan moisture can cause natural rattan to warp, crack, or discolour over time. Avoid placing the lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods, as prolonged UV exposure will bleach the natural rattan tone.
