Puschkinia scilloides, or striped squill, is a small Spring flowering bulb native to the Caucasus. It features pale blue-white flowers with blue stripes and grows 1015 cm tall. Blooming in early spring, it thrives in well-drained soil and sun or partial shade, perfect for borders and rock gardens.

Plant Puschkinia bulbs in fall, 10-15cm deep and 510cm apart. Hardy in zones 48, they naturalize well and resist pests like deer. These low-maintenance bulbs prefer moist springs and dry summers, offering soft colour and charm to gardens early in the season.
