A 1957 icon by Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Floor Lamp in 1957 as part of his complete commission for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen every fitting, every detail, conceived as a single architectural gesture. With its tilted cone shade balanced on a slender steel stem, the AJ Floor pairs graphic confidence with quiet utility.

Light concept
Downward-directed light. The shade angle is adjustable, and the white-painted inner surface softens the reflected light for comfortable reading or task work.
