Dating back to 1941, the Kennebec potato was bred in a greenhouse in Maryland and named after the Kennebec River in Maine, USA. It is one of the most popular varieties for chips and fries in both the USA and Canada. Often referred to as an all-rounder, although we wouldn’t recommend for salads.
